Exterior Furniture
- Exterior furniture should be stored under cover if not used for a long period of time.
- Storage is recommended during Winter.
- To maintain its beauty, exterior wooden furniture should be oil-treated twice a year, Summer and Winter.
- Any good penetrating oil such as Linseed Oil, Teak Oil, Wood Oil can be used.
- Treatment should be done using a soft cloth or brush. Apply generously giving the oil time to penetrate the wood. Leave for a few hours and wipe of excess.
- If not treated, over time exterior wooden furniture will show the effects of nature's elements by turning into a silver-grey patina.
- Possible surface mildew on exterior wooden furniture can be washed away with a mild solution of bleach and water. After drying, an immediate oil treatment is mandatory.
- If a color change is desired, this can be achieved by applying an oil-based stain, or by using any wood paint for outdoors. The wood must be sanded down prior to pain application.
